About Breach Horizon
Small businesses get breached through gaps that were visible from the outside the whole time. Breach Horizon exists to make those gaps visible to the owner first — and fixable fast.
Breach Horizon is built and run by an IT and security project practitioner who has spent years on the managed-services side of the table: onboarding SMB clients, preparing cyber insurance renewals, and cleaning up after email spoofing incidents that a five-minute DNS check would have prevented.
The pattern is always the same. The evidence of exposure — a missing DMARC record, an expired certificate, a forgotten subdomain — was publicly checkable long before the incident. Attackers checked. Insurers checked. The business never did, because the tools that check are built for security teams, priced for enterprises, and written in jargon.
So Breach Horizon does three things, in order: a free passive scan of what your domain exposes publicly, an honest, documented score you can read about on the methodology page, and plain-English remediation — do-it-yourself guides for every finding, or done-for-you fixes if you would rather hand it off.
What it will never do: intrusive scanning, fear-mongering with fake numbers, or recommendations that exist because of a commission. Where affiliate links appear, they are disclosed, and they never influence scoring.
